Billingshurst Dramatic Society (BDS) is a small local society that depends on your support. When you join us, either as a Member or Friend, we will ask for your contact details such as your email address or mobile phone number.  This contact information is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests of BDS. What this means is that if you have expressed an interest in the activities of BDS we will let you know of these activities via emails and newsletters.  Without being able to contact you with information and requests for help, we could no longer continue and would quickly have to fold.

We use this contact information to keep you informed about upcoming productions, events and activities.  Your email address will also be used if you subscribe to our Newsletter, from which you can unsubscribe at any point.

All personal data is controlled by the committee members of BDS who oversee the effective and secure collection and processing of your data. We will never pass your details on to third parties and promise to keep your details safe and secure.  Your details are stored on cloud-based services that are password protected and encrypted.

At any time you can:-

• Inform us of changes to your personal data

• Request to see the personal information we hold on you

• Request that your personal information is removed from our files

Please note that all processing of your personal data will cease if you ask us to remove it, but this will not affect any personal data that has already been processed prior to this point.

We continually review and update our contact lists.  If you do not request that your personal data is removed from our lists, we will retain your information until such time that we consider you no longer wish us to contact you, at which time we will remove your data from our lists.
